A surprising moment

Being a brand new parent just brings about so many unexpected emotions. The other night Hank and I wanted to go see Star Trek. I didn't want to bring Sam along because it would be too stressful if he got fussy in the movie theater. So we decided to leave him with Hank's parents (you couldn't find better babysitters). I honestly didn't think anything about it, but as we were driving away I almost started crying. It's so strange, Hank and I were married 4 1/2 years before we had Sam and so I am very used to it being just the two of us. But sitting in that car with only Hank I felt like a huge part of us was missing and I wanted it back. The movie was awesome but as soon as the credits came up I bolted out of that theater so I could be with my little boy again. I am beginning to realize that I need him so much more than he needs me.

Sam is smiling!

Sam started smiling last week and he is just melting my heart.

This one is cute...

..and this one is funny.

A fun visit from my cousins

My cousin Cheyenne and her family visited last weekend and it was so fun! Here are some pictures.

Morgan, the youngest child was in love with Sam and would follow me around saying "baby, baby" over and over. I feel in love with her!

More Sam and Morgan love

The older kids Deaven and Peyton became best friends with Hank. They spend the weekend playing the Wii. I think Hank was more excited about the friendship then the they were, considering he could play video games for hours without getting critized.

Cheyenne took this picture of us. We were at the park. I thought it came out well. Family is so fun.

What a fun Week!

My sister Sarah came to visit this last week and she brought her two beautiful daughters with her.

This is Elliott Dee with my sister Anna, she is the happiest baby I have ever met.

This is Avery, she makes me laugh because she says funny things.

This is Sam and Avery's first meeting. Avery is very taken by Sam.
I can't wait to show Avery and Sam this picture twenty years from now.
... same with this one, but for different reasons.
My Mom. sisters and my friend Laura threw me a baby shower with an amazingly cute theme. Everything was Dr. Suess themed because of the character "Sam I am" in Green Eggs and Ham. This is a picture of the green eggs and ham.
Here's pic of the shower. It was such a blast!
The next day we went to the beach. I love this picture and I love even more that I am in a state that has beaches. I missed it.
My sister is on the left, my mom with Elliott in the middle and funny Avery on the right.
This is a cute picture of my sister and her Daughter. I can'y wait till Sam is big enough to float in one of those things. They are just so cute!
This a sorta candid picture of the cousins. Avery thought it was hilarious to see baby Sam with a scrunchy on his head. This was taken on Mother's day. My first mother's day! It was an incredible day.

I love the boys in my life.

Sam is a month old already!

Sam reached his one month mark on May 3rd. Which was also the day of his baby blessing. Hank gave the most beautiful blessing. We felt so loved that day. So many family members and friends came to see the blessing and then Grandma Marty and Grandpa Sam opened their house up for a luncheon afterwards. It was really nice. Fortunately Hank's Grandparents which includes Henry Samuel Florence II are in California this week for a wedding and so he was able to be at the blessing. This is a four generation picture of the four Henrys. Pretty cool uh? They are all such good men.

Sam also has been busy this month eating and gaining weight. Last week we went to the peditriction and he weighed in at 9.7 lbs. He is a growing boy! He looks so fat to me..hehehehe!

We have been enjoying the nice California weather! We've gone on a million walks and Sam still loves his sleepy wrap.

Now you can't tell me he isn't looking older and more sophiscated!

This is just a cute video of Sam getting his bath.
